Hello everyone! Welcome back to my website and today I’m going to talk about how to get the best value from digital banking. I love digital banking and they’re geat in many ways.

In this article I’m going to talk my personal experience using my Revolut card when traveling abroad.

  1. Currency exchange

One thing I love about digital banking is exchanging currency at competitive rates and without additional fees.

It sounds confusing in the first place but it’s very easy to grasp. So what does it mean? It means you can convert your pounds into euros, instantly. Once settled in euros, you’ll be able to spend without worrying about transaction fees, often seen as “non-sterling transaction fees” on your bank statement.

When I first used my app to exchange currency I thought it’s very similar to a “bureau de change”.

Most non-digital banks would charge a percentage fee when each time you buy something in a different currency.

Positives:

  • Benefit from competitive exchange rates
  • Save time

2. ATM

One great feature worth noticing with digital banking is withdrawing cash without additional fees. You can withdraw £200 five times per month without having to worry about additional fees. It means you can withdraw £1,000 per month without fees.

Another nice thing is you can find ATMs nearby based on your current location with no additional fees.

3. Transfers

Another nice benefit with digital bank is transfers are free and instant. It’s easy and fast: you only need an email or phone number.

When traveling abroad I think it’s worth having a digital bank. It saves you time and money and you can spend without having to worry too much about additional fees.

I hope you enjoy my post, feel free to drop me a line to discuss.
