Hello everyone! Today I’m going to talk about the ETF you need to have if you want to invest in healthcare stocks and diversify your portfolio.
As per usual, this is not financial advice. If you’re unsure about anything, it’s worth seeking advice from a regulated financial advisor.
For someone completely new to healthcare stocks, I’ll try to explain why you need it in your portfolio.
- Currently undervalued. What does undervalued mean? It means the price is cheaper than what it should be.
- Healthcare are defensive stocks. It means they offer stability in terms of risk/return. On the one hand, you won’t loose too much money in times of market downturns and on the other hand, you won’t earn much money in times of market upturns.
Now if you think you should have this in your portfolio, check for iShares S&P 500 Health Care.
Here’s the ETF details:
- ISIN code: IE00B43HR379
- Fees 0.15%
- ETF size: 2.125 M$
- Exchange cotation: Uk & Germany
- 1, 3 and 5 years performance: 10.3%, 25.7% and 64.6%
The main companies included in the ETF are the followings Eli Lilly, UnitedHealth Group, Johnson & Johnson, AbbVie, Merck, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Abbott Laboratories, Intuitive Surgical, Pfizer and Danaher Corp.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post ! Drop me a line if you think that another ETF should worth considering !
